T-Mobile's New US Stores Look Like Euro Sex Clubs [Video]

T-Mobile's New US Stores Look Like Euro Sex Clubs What do you think when you hear "T-Mobile store"? Nothing, because they're unremarkable in every way. Until now. Thanks to a jazzy makeover, T-Mobile's retail fleet has character! The character of a German stripper. Deutsche Telekom liebt dich, baby.

T-Mobile's emphasizing the "open" nature of the new American stores—it should be easier to navigate around, buy stuff, and then leave. Less hopeless searching. But really, how can you pay attention to anything but the harsh pink neon lights everywhere? The hardwood floors, the booths—T-Mobile says the new stores will offer a "private atmosphere," opportunities to "explore and play" in an "open environment." Wink. And just listen to that music! Is this where AT&T execs are going to have a morose corporate consolation orgy after their T-Mobile takeover gets nixed? At any rate, I'll be right in to get my dongle activated. [T-Mobile]

The Sinch Wraps, Releases And Stores Your Ear Buds [Gadgets]

The Sinch Wraps, Releases And Stores Your Ear BudsThe $16 Sinch is a simple accessory that'll attach your ear buds to a phone or portable music player.

It's a thin, rectangular piece of elastic with a small hole and a couple of magnets. And it's very easy to use. Just slip the plug end of the ear buds through the hole, plug the buds into the audio jack and let the elastic dangle down the backside of the device.

When you're done listening to your favorite tunes, wrap the cord of the ear buds around your device and the elastic band. Fold the elastic band around the ear buds and if you did it correctly, the two magnets will line up and keep everything securely closed until you are ready to rock and roll again. Apple Stores Are Obsessively Designed to Look Perfectly Symmetrical from the Outside [Apple]

Apple Stores Are Obsessively Designed to Look Perfectly Symmetrical from the OutsideApple's obsessive compulsive, super-spartan, Kubrick-meets-Superman's-Fortress-of-Solitude industrial design goes way beyond phones and tablets. ifoAppleStore points out the meticulous, somewhat-insanely clever efforts Apple takes to make their stores visually enticing. Human brains like symmetry! So human brains like Apple Stores.

As much as China's faux Apple Stores looked pretty close to the real thing, there's no way they could come to this scary level of attention. Did you know Apple builds new sidewalks outside their stores to so that they match the interiors? Yeah. ifoAppleStore dishes, with California's 4th Street store in California as reference:

Store window panels and inside stone floor tiles all are dimensioned and positioned to present a symmetrical appearance. In this case, the master element is the stone floor tiles, which are 76 centimeters square (about 30 inches). The glass window panes are then manufactured to a multiple of that dimension.

This sounds like something straight out of the steel mind of Jobs. He did, after all, patent the staircases inside himself. [ifoAppleStore]
