One Man's Dumpster Is Another Man's Tiny Mobile Park [Environment]

One Man's Dumpster Is Another Man's Tiny Mobile ParkCan't find a parking space in San Francisco these days? Don't plan overpopulation, blame these mobile dumpster parks that have started sprouting up around the city.

Bright red and bigger than a car, these 16-foot by 6-foot bastions of mobile greenery provide little bits of shade and park bench-style seating for passersby at the expense of a parking space (which is kind of the idea).

What's the over-under on number of days until one of these is seen rolling down one of San Fran's notorious hills, ablaze and defaced with graffiti? Two? Has that already happened? [LA Times via neatorama]
