Sometimes, Saturday's nights are for fighting. Others, Saturday's nights are for staying at home and watch a movie. But this Saturday night I'm off to burn some NYC bars. And I'm warming up with Moloko while I airdry.
Although unknown by the masses, Moloko is one of the best "undefined" bands to ever grace this planet Earth. I say undefined because, despite having been remixed to death in every single house club and rave in the world, I don't really know what the hell it is. Wikipedia says their music is electronic dance, trip-hop and nu-jazz. iTunes critics say their "unusual sound" is "trip-hop, funk, drum'n'bass and a decidedly bizarro pop ethic."
Whatever. I hate labels and critics. I just know that I love them, especially because of their better half and singer, Roísín Murphy. Roísín is perhaps the sexiest singer alive this side of Alison Goldfrapp and Gawker's CFO Gaby Darbyshire in a karaoke.
This is The Time Is Now, a classic from their brilliant album Things to Make and Do, realeased in 2000.
And you know what time it is now? It's time for you to stop reading the internet and get the fuck out of here. In the immortal words of Monty Python: Now piss off.
And go get pissed. [iTunes]
