A Rocket Launch that Makes Me Feel like a Kid in 1969 [Video]

A Rocket Launch that Makes Me Feel like a Kid in 1969 This clip, created by Desrumaux Celine, is like watching the Apollo launches, but through the lens of a Hanna-Barbara Saturday morning cartoon. And then modernized to make it that much more spectacular. [Vimeo via Fubiz]

Conan O'Brien Makes Fun of Apple's Lost iPhone 5 [Video]

Conan O'Brien Makes Fun of Apple's Lost iPhone 5 Apple lost another iPhone in another bar. Bummer for Apple, but also, kind of funny. At least in Conan's hands.

Conan O'Brien released a hilarious spoof of an Apple product video, in which the company pleads for its missing phone while touting the features that promise to bring grief to whoever's got it. Like, "it's amazing that in such a short period of time we've managed to create a digital version of the eBola virus."

Very funny Conan! Also? Please don't forget to rent your studio to Kat Manalac for her wedding!

Daily Desired: The Blunt Umbrella Makes Other People Hate You Less [Desired]

Daily Desired: The Blunt Umbrella Makes Other People Hate You Less Umbrellas are just another hateful piece of urban luggage that makes my commute unbearable. I mean, I'm more likely to leave one in a bar than to actually use it! The Blunt Umbrella's intelligent design might actually convert this hater.

The Blunt Umbrella gets its name from its snazzy-looking rounded tips, which unlike their pointy counterparts won't take out fellow pedestrians' eyes. One annoyance avoided already. It gets better: the Blunt Umbrella has smartly-engineered internal structure which makes it durable and wind-resistant. For example, the blunt tips aren't just there to help you avoid unfortunate street altercations, they also keep the the fast-drying polyester canopy super-tight. Sure, other umbrellas are wind resistant but the Blunt achieves this in a lightweight, practical design that doesn't turn the concept of an umbrella into a massive space-aged monstrosity—that's a damn feat.

It's going to rain all week on the east coast. For $70, the Blunt Umbrella will keep you not wet and less annoyed. If only it came with GPS-tracker for when I leave it at the bar—I'm still working on that. [Blunt Umbrella]

Photojojo's Leather Camera Strap Makes Your DSLR Look Like Indiana Jones' [Cameras]

Photojojo's Leather Camera Strap Makes Your DSLR Look Like Indiana Jones'Dropping your expensive camera is terrible. Looking like a giant tool while you're snapping photos is also awful. Photojojo's "Handy Dandy Hand Strap" will take care of both, snuggly securing your cam to your hand, all while looking ruggedly beautiful.

There's nothing complicated about the strap. And that's a good thing. It's just soft padded leather that tucks into your camera's strap loop on one end and screws into the tripod mount on the other. Stick your mitt in, and you're ready to run and gun while the camera sticks to you. I can also see this as a way to turn your camera into a particularly sophisticated bludgeoning weapon, although that's not a use condoned by Photojojo, myself, Gizmodo, or its parent company.
