Bing Now Has Complete Airport Maps [Bing]

I've gotten lost at JFK Airport more times than I care to admit. But Bing Maps now offers full maps of airports so you make it to your flight without getting turned around.

They only have 43 US airports listed right now, but that number is sure to grow. It just better hit phones soon. I just can't see myself running around with a paper printout as opposed to popping out my phone the next time I'm in Miami International. And that airport sucks. [Ubergizmo]

Sleepbox Is A Tiny Hotel Room For Airport Layovers [Design]

Sleepbox is a self-contained hotel room for airports and other public places. Designed by Russian architects at the Arch Group, each Sleepbox has all the amenities you need to catch some shut eye while you wait for your next flight.

Inside each Sleepbox are up to three beds with self-changing sheets, an LED reading lamp, a nightstand and storage for your luggage. Some models are even geek-friendly with charging outlets, built-in WiFi and a TV with a touchscreen monitor.

The first Sleepbox was installed last month at the Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Russia. Weary travelers with some time on their hands can rent the Sleepbox for as little as 30 minutes or as long as several hours. [Arch Group via Dezeen]

Google Flight Search Listed the WTC as a Destination Airport [Wtf]

Well this is uncomfortable. Google's new flight search had the World Trade Center listed as an unavailable destination airport for New York City-bound flights.

Google's flight search uses International Air Transport Association and International Civil Aviation Organization codes to generate its list of airports, but Google didn't know that decommissioned airports remained in the list until after the service was live. They're still removing other unavailable airports, but it looks like they've already yanked the WTC.

It's an honest mistake to be sure, but still, an immensely embarrassing one. [Sydney Morning Herald via NY Post]
